What file formats can you translate?

We accept texts in virtually any electronic or printed format, including the following: Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, QuarkXpress, Illustrator, PageMaker, PDF, TXT, HTML, PHP, etc.

Can you translate my website?

Yes, we can. We work directly in the source code of your website, thus minimizing your costs and keeping all things intact.

Do you work with companies or private individuals?

Both.

Is it possible to maintain the page layout?

Yes, formatting will be very similar to that of the source document.

How much does a translation cost?

The price depends on a number of factors, such as difficulty and format of your text. Please contact us to get a free and quick price estimate for your project.

How do you count words in a document?

In Word 2007, we usually use its word count feature; for other formats, we use translation memory software to determine the volume of work to be done. Word counts for faxes, scanned or handwritten documents, as well as certain other types of documents are calculated based on resulting document, not the source one.

How can I send you a document?

Please send your documents to projects@utranslations.com. Hardcopies can be sent by fax or mail.

TURNAROUND TIME

When will my job be delivered?

You can roughly calculate delivery date for your project based on the daily capacity of one translator, which is around 1500-2000 words per day.

I have a sizeable rush job that needs to be translated urgently. Can you accept it?

In most cases, yes. We have the resources to handle very large volumes in a variety of subject areas. Translation memory software, extensive glossaries and coordinated real-time team collaboration make it possible to maintain consistency and style even when translation is performed by a team of linguists working on the same project simultaneously.

PAYMENT

How can I pay?

Bank transfer is our preferred method of payment. Other payment options are subject to preliminary arrangement.

When do I need to make payment?

Corporate customers pay according to their payrun cycles; private individuals are usually asked to send payment within 3 days after delivery of the translated documents. For orders over $200 placed by new customers, we normally request advance payment.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality is inherent to our policies and procedures, and we guarantee non-disclosure of any information of personal nature. Upon client's request, we will be glad to enter into contractual agreements to formalize any matters related to confidentiality.
